Getting
Over A Breakup By Writing Down Your
Emotions
Ok, I understand
this may be a little touchy-feely for some people, especially
for
some of you guys out there. I could
imagine how many guys rolled there eyes when they hear
something like that, but its a great way to release some of
those heart wrenching feelings you may be having. Remember we
have to think outside the box. If we did the same thing that
the vast majority of people do after a breakup, you would be
having a much harder time getting over all of this.
Just get a basic notebook, and
when you are suddenly getting a feeling of great anxiety,
anger,depression, or whatever it may be, just grab the
notebook, and start writing. Write down the feeling that you
are having and get into the specifics of why you are feeling
this way. It could be something as sappy, as like hearing a
song that reminds you of your ex. It doesn’t matter. Write it
down.
Something interesting happens when you put
words on paper. It’s like a release valve. If you just
kept it all your mind, your head would explode. But with
writing, you are filtering it through your brain onto a
piece of paper, which is now taking the burden off of your
shoulders.
Another great thing that it
does, is that it gives you a little more insight to the
relationship. Here you have a written account of how you feel
about your ex. What are the issues you have about them? What is
it that you loved most about them? These are all questions that
have to be answered if you want to win back your ex.
It’s definitely something that
you can always look back upon, to see how well you have
progressed right after the breakup.
I’m not saying this is for
everybody, BUT I strongly suggest that you at least give it a
shot, before you just dismiss it. I think you’ll be pleasantly
surprised with the outcome. Who knows, you might have entire
novel, after its all over.
